Hello dear all,

I have near 100 different devices an the network map (swiches, firewalls, UPS, etc). Usually the map looks fine, but from time to time all links totally disappears - only devices leave. IMC continues to work, I receive alarms and so on, but the links doesn't came back visible any more. The same available for different users.

The only solution I've found so far - rebutting the server IMC installed on.

What can be the cause of the issue and how can it be fixed?

I'd be checking whether SNMP & LLDP are still working together.

@Vince-Whirlwind wrote:

I'd be checking whether SNMP & LLDP are still working together.

I don't think that's the case here - the problem is entirely within IMC, not on the devices.

To the OP, you probably don't need to restart the whole IMC server. Probably just the IMC processes. Can you check that all IMC processes are still running? Look at the Deployment Monitoring Agent for details. I wonder if one of the daemons has crashed.

The issue happened again. I looked at the Deployment Monitoring Agent, but all IMC processes had "started" status.

So I used "Stop IMC" and then "Start IMC" buttons on the "Monitor tab". It helped to fix the links on a network map.

Although it consumes some time and not fixes the root of the problem, but it is exactly faster then restarting the whole IMC server.
