    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i'm a bit confiused i'm reciving alrams via email and for some reaseon the iMC is sending email about interface down but the interface number is not matching the any interface in the switch&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;for example:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;here is the alarm with non exsiting interface&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;[Critical]The interface 46 is DOWN&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the switch is&amp;nbsp;5940 runing&amp;nbsp;Boot image: flash:/5940-cmw710-boot-r2510p01.bin&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and there isnt any 46 interface the right syntex is 1/x&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello Dati_Zeru,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What does it look like inside iMC? A interface down would be a trap. So you should be able to trace it from the trap to the alarm &amp;amp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;see what the trap actually claims the port number is.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;See in iMC Alarm -&amp;gt; Alarm Browse and Alarm -&amp;gt; Trap Management in the Gui&lt;/P&gt;</description>
