I'm trying to setup a port group based on specified rule as on attached screenshot.

First in IMC I added devices then created a port group as on screenshot below and aftrwards I named interfaces on switch 5412Rzl2 using commands

interface A1
name "Endpoint"

I was trying different patterns

Endpoint

*Endpoint*

with and without equal sign at the beggining with double and single quotes and without any quotes but nothing works.

Unfortunatelly manual doesn't help here.

Hello,

This rule works succesfully , but it applies to newly added interfaces (devices) only. Do not expext the rule to work for already added devices in iMC, for this you can use the select advanced option.

The * will help you adding different names containing a specific word . For example *Endpoint will add any interface (newly added to iMC) with the name newEndpoint or justEndpont , but will not add Endpoint2 or Endpoint 5 .For the last two you will need to use Endpoint* in the rule.

Hope this is helpfull.

Regards,

Marina
