HP IMC keeps SSH connection open to Aruba 8320 switches

I recently upgrade my Aruba8320 switches to a new software version (TL.10.06.0130). However, I can't connect to the switches anymore using SSH.

It turns out that IMC (version E0705) is setting up SSH connections for various tasks (including config backups, which works fine) but doesn't properly terminate the connections afterwards. After a few hours, all my 5 available sessions on the switch are in use, and nobody can access the devices anymore using SSH.

How can I configure IMC to properly close the SSH connections after the tasks are finished? The session-timeout on the switch also isn't being hit, so IMC is doing something to keep the SSH connection alive and prevent the timeout from being hit.

What exact ArubaOS-CX software versions (initial/final) for your Aruba 8320 are you referring to?

I'm running version TL.10.06.0130.

The previous software version was TL.10.04.3011, in which I had no issues.

Hi @MartijnNoij try to update your Aruba 8320 to ArubaOS-CX 10.06.0140 (released August 5 2021) and report back.

Edit: Isn't the HPE IMC E0705 patched (e.g. E0705P12, E0705P11, E0705P10, E0705P07, E0705P06, E0705P04 or E0705P02)? probably if I were you I would at least use HPE IMC E0705P07 or newer.

I just patched the IMC installation to E0705P12 and the issue is resolved now.
