This is definitely the error we are getting when I pull the logs, but I am having trouble locating the correct conf/ini file to modify to fix the issue.

I found and modified to no success files in:

%PROGRAMDATA%\MySQL

%PROGRAMDATA%\MySQL\MySql Server 8.0\

Should I create a copy of one and drop it in my %BASEDIR% folder for MySQL?

I'm referencing this helpfile from MySQL: MySQL :: MySQL 8.0 Reference Manual :: 4.2.2.2 Using Option Files

We've moved our IMC install to a new Windows 2016 VM, running it on MySQL DB, and have no information in the performance monitoring systems, including the real-time data.

SNMP is definitely working, as well as SSH, ICMP, etc. to all of the switches. We have info, config backups, and can successfully connect to each device, but have no performance data.

I'm a bit of a novice at this, and I'm at a loss as to what to check next.

imcperfdm is running and each device added to the system has the standard monitors assigned.

Any ideas on buttons to press or knobs to switch? Or a troubleshooting guide?

Thanks!

Hello,

Are you running MySQL 8.0? There is a known issue with performance monitoring not showing when local-infile is not configured on the DB.

Error in imcperfdm log is: [ERROR (3948)] [THREAD(11156)] [CQvDBConnADP::executeSQL] Execute "LOAD DATA local INFILE 'C:/Program Files/iMC/server/bin/../../server/data/perfdm/perf_data_11156_6.dat' INTO TABLE td_2horigindata_6 FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' " failed, errorMsg:Loading local data is disabled; this must be enabled on both the client and server sides

To fix it follow these steps:

Stop IMC from IDMA.

Find your MySQL my.cnf/my.ini config file and edit it.

Add the local-infile line under the mysqld and mysql designators:
<LI-CODE lang="markup">[mysqld]
local-infile = 1
[mysql]
local-infile = 1</LI-CODE>

Restart the server.

Start IMC from IDMA.

Hope that helps.

I got it. I had to add one more thing: enabling local-infile in MySQL from the console.

Thank you for your assistance!
