i have just registered 50 devices in http://h17007.www1.hp.com/us/en/index.aspx portail and i take a license for the agent (ProCurve Manager Agent) and for the soft (HP PCM+ v3 Software w/50 Device License). all good now

BUT

when i try to upgrade my license for support 100 devices and when i add the registrer ID for J9173A i had the message bellow :

The license upgrade PCM Plus V3 can only be installed on an existing system with asimilar license PCM Plus 2.x registered...

MY PCM is : PCM+ v3

any help please ????

If i get it right you bought 2 J9173a upgrade licences. if that is the case, it is indeed correct that you get the error. You can only have 1 base license.

With PCM3.x you can only have 50 or 150 licenses, not 100 device licenses like you have on PCM 2.1. In this case you will need to get J9175a PCM+ v3 additional 100-device License100 to have it work.

Try to contact your resaler to have the not registered J9173a exchanged for a J9175a
