Is there a simple CLI or GUI steps to take a 'spare' drive, and change it to be included in the data sets?

Nimble arrays does not have the concept of dedicated spare disk, atleast from Nimble OS 2.1+.

If you are seeing a disk as spare, especially after a replacement, it is essentially pointing to a incompatible disk.
There are no work around available, the disk needs to be replaced.

The array model is CS240.

First spare sent was defective Customer returned original drive into array,, followed by good spare part.

Now the drive is a spare instead of being an active drive in the data sets.

We have this resolved. Replaced the drive one more time. It took off to rebuild and went back into the pool.

Thank you for the help, please close the thread.
