How to remove multiple volumes from initiatorgroup

Hi,

We are using VMware ESXi Cluster and we are in a process of decommisioning few of the ESXi Servers. Now we need to remove multiple volumes from ESXi initiatorgroup. How can I achieve this ?

Every ESXi Server has its initiatorgroup.

Please help!!!

Hello,

For each volume, you'd have to edit the settings of the volume, go to the Access section, and remove the initiator groups of your decommissioned servers. Once there are no more volumes assigned to an initiator group, you can then remove that initiator group.

Unfortunately, Nimble didn't make the GUI very convenient for this task if you have many volumes. If you have more than a handful of volumes to edit in this way, it's best to script it using the CLI or PowerShell.

Thanks for your input,

I tried installing the Powershell Tool Kit, but that seems to be not working.

For Example, I got this cmdlet, Remove-NSAccessControlRecord

Remove-NSAccessControlRecord -id 06747bc404c9780944000000000000000000000012

I would like to remove the volumes from specified initiatorgroup rather then all initiatorgroup

But getting errors for above, I tried referring to examples, still not working… ☹
