Hello,

We have a Nimble CS1000 head shelf with a ES2-H210T disk shelf hooked up.

We will be moving all hardware to a new location. Can anyone tell us what the procedure is to gracefully shut them down and power off, and powering them on and start it up after the move ?

Hope to hear from someone soon, thanks !

Hi Joeri86NL

Power down:
To avoid possible data loss, it is important that active data connections to the array be gracefully terminated before the array is powered down.
An array powered off remotely will require an on-site, manual press of the power button to resume operation.

Log into the Array via the WebUI then navigate to the following path (This will shut down all of the arrays):
Administration -> Shutdown -> <group name>
Log into the Array via the WebUI then navigate to the following path (This will shutdown an individual array in the group):
Administration -> Shutdown -> <array name>

Halt the specified array. Restarting the array will require physically powering it back on.
Halting an array will stop the Nimble OS processes and the power of the head shelf.
Halting an array will not power off any expansion shelves; those must be powered off using the power button on the unit.

Power up procedure:
We currently do not have a way to remotely power on an array, or expansion shelf.
The array will need to be powered on manually, with the power button.

Hope this helps.!!

Regards
Mahesh.

Hi @Mahesh202

Thank you very much !

One more question. When we want to power on the devices on site, is this the correct order ?

- put Headunit and diskshelf in rack
- connect all cabling as before
- poweron ES2-H210T DISK shelf
- then poweron CS1000 head shelf

Thanks again !

Hello Joe,
Yes, that's right approach. You can go ahead and perform the same for powering up the machine.
