Thanks Thomas,

I think this maybe the route we take as others dont seem to quite fit the bill.

Cheers

We have added some new esxi hosts to a nimble array using the wizard, the plan was to create a new cluster with these hosts to let our DevOps go wild and take ownership of the new cluster, so need to be able to silo them somehow.

We have since learnt nimble does not play nice with other clusters until new update is released sometime in the future.

Any ideas on best practice to segment these hosts in vsphere without creating a new cluster whilst also playing nice with nimble.

Thanks in advance.

Was looking at a resource pool but couldnt see an option to add certain hosts

dHCI still supports single "dHCI VM cluster" only.

However, if you want to have another "normal VM cluster" connect to the same array, it's definately supported.

You can setup another VM cluster and configure iSCSI networking on ESXi manually, if the cluster sharing the same vCenter with dHCI cluster, using the vCenter Plugin can manage Nimble volumes on both clusters.; please note that the new cluster won't fall under dHCI management context but storage provision will be avaliable.
