If I want to add in Gen9 blade server into HPE enclusure which already have Gen7 and Gen8 blades and already been monitored by HP OneView, can the new add in Gen9 server be managed by OneView? Please advise. Thanks.

Unfortunately, no. License policy and "mode" for BladeSystem is tied to the enclosure, not individual like for DL or XL.

Are there any plans to change this? We have also have production enclosures that we are not ready for managing with OneView but we would like to create templates and manage new blades.

When Virtual Connect is present within the enclosure, it is not possible to support the license model originally discussed. Because VCM is turned off, OneView is the manager and the OneView configuration is not compatible with VCM, prevents us from supporting that license model.
