Hello

I am trying to figure out how i can filter out alerts in OneView.

if i reboot a server it sends about 20 emails. Is there a way to stop it from sending emails about certain changes?

i see technicians online saying they can filter it with 'nots' like below

status:critical status:warning NOT alertTypeID:trap.cpqHeThermalTempDegraded NOT alertTypeID:trap.cpqFca2PhyDrvStatusChange

however where did they get this information from?

There are no such details on the alert or the email

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Abdul,

You may try the following

OV >> Settings >> Notifications >> Actions >> Add Alert Email filter >> Advanced >> add the queries below.

status:critical

status:warning NOT alertTypeID:trap.cpqHeThermalTempDegraded NOT alertTypeID:trap.cpqFca2PhyDrvStatusChange

If the issue still persist, log a case with HPE.

add new filter

OneView > Setting > Notifications >

Create new allter mail with advanced Setting

this will do the work :

status:critical status:warning
"NOT alertTypeID:profilemgr.connections.connection_scmb_error"
"NOT alertTypeID:crm.connctionstatechange"

Is there any way to customize the email subject lines coming from OneView? Or customize the notifications with additional Tags or notes?

how would i know the reference for each alert type?

I have searched everywhere online for the LIST of all alert event ids that are used for filtering alerts. I find lost of examples of specific event ids (as on this page), but no "source document" for ALL ids. Where can I find that?
