Hello folks!

I am having an issue with two different brand-new installations independent of each other. After I successfully added my server to HPE OneView and applied the latest firmware I received the following error on all the servers: Unable to fully discover the port map information for the server hardware

I have tried the usual troubleshooting of resetting iLO and disconnecting the adapter but no luck.

I think that this could be a bug between versions, this is my current platform:

HPE OneView 8.6 (Updated from 8.3 where I had the same issue)

iLO 5 2.96

ESXi 7.0 U3j

HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus

Did anyone face the same?

Thanks in advance!

I've had this issue a few times - I reccomend trying a different iLO5 version, perhaps update to v3.0 or whatever is the latest.

I was on ILO fw 3.01. Upgraded to 3.03 and then incrementally down to 2.63. None of these resolved the issue.

I see there is a new iLO5 version v3.04 released last week, it doesn't mention the adaptors you are using but it's worth a go.
Otherwise I expect this issue needs to be investigated by HPE, and most likely a new iLO5 version in future will fix it.

I'm not yet using the latest OneView so can't comment further.

Fixes

Upgrade Requirement:
Recommended - HPE recommends users update to this version at their earliest convenience.

1. Fixed an issue where there was a communication loss between HPE Ethernet 1Gb 4-port 331FLR adapter and HPE iLO 5.
2. Fixed an issue of invalid values for SNMP OIDs during SNMPWALK.
3. Fixed an issue where SMBIOS data file present in NAND is removed and recreated every time a server reboots.
4. Fixed an issue where the IPMI power supply status showed a failure detected in empty bays on Apollo servers.
5. Fixed an issue where while entering an incorrect HPE iLO password on a server in Edgeline EL8000t chassis displayed an improper error message.
6. Fixed an issue where physical drive status was reported incorrectly in SNMP.
