Using Properties Files for SDN Applications

Hi,

I would like to know if it would be easy to use properties files for initializing certain parameters in my SDN application.

Currently I am putting the properties file in a certain location in the controller machine and using the absolute path in the java code to access it. Now, with this solution, I have to scp/ftp over the properties file before uploading the SDN application in the controller.

If I want to have the properties file as part of the ZIP file that is uploaded, how do I go about it? Do I need to change any classpath parmaeters? How do I access the properties file from within the code as the application would be an OSGi bundle?

Could someone clarify this?

Hello Sridhar,

As per the programming guide2.3 [page 197 onwards] Creating a GUI – views as well as the associated properties files can be created for the gui part.

You can also take the help from the properties files supplied with the Sample Application.

Please follow the step mentioned in the guide and let us know if you still face some problem.
