Hi guys,

Could you please advise how to get order number or registration ID for base license to HP VAN SDN controller?

Here is a controller download page:

If you want to activate it you need base license called:

HP VAN SDN CTRL BASE SW W/ 50-NODE E-LTU

In order to get the licence, I need order number or registration ID. How can I get it?

We plan to use SDN controller only internally, for lab purposes.

Hi UncelF,

You get the registration ID in an email after purchasing a license from your usual HP Networking channel partner (or via AllianceOne if you're an AllianceOne partner).

J9863AAE HP VAN SDN CTRL BASE SW W/ 50-NODE E-LTU

If you talk to your local HP Networking sales team, they should be able to generate you a 60-day trial key.

What about for the 90 day eval controller? After you download it, a message states to contact your HP Rep for a license.

Also how do we (SA's) get a copy for our laptop?

Internal HP employees can generate a demo license from the License Acquisition Portal.

I wanted the demo license for our labs related work. But I didnt find the link to get the demo license. Would you please share the License Acquisition Portal link for the same.

We need to connect you with a local sales representative to generate a trial key (or you need to buy a license - list price is only $500). Can you send me a private message with your email address, name, and country.
