Hi Thomas,

Yes - we're going directly to OpenFlow 1.3 on these products.

The 5900 is first, and I believe should have OF 1.3 support already. Other products will follow throughout 2014.

interesting. I just checked the 5900 product specification, latest firmware releases and configuration guide and could

not find any information whatsoever about OpenFlow. So it is probably not released yet. By any chance do you know

if OpenFlow will also come 5800? I'm asking because I have several 5800 devices in production.

Yes - that's the current intent, although the testing and release date haven't been scheduled yet.

Hi Mohammed - no - HP doesn't implement new features on products that have been discontinued. The replacement switch in this class (HP 3800) already does OpenFlow.

Keep an eye out for Comware v7 R2307. It should be posted next week, and will support OpenFlow 1.3.1 for the 5900 series switches.

becouse we have 60 switch 4800 and 16 switch 2910 4 Core switch 8212 so the open flow wii work in the 8212 switch only ?

Unfortunately you can't combine openflow with IRF. :(
