Certification needed for Simplivity Installation?

Dear all

Are only Simplivity certified technicians/companies allowed to install HPE Simplivity Nodes?

The reason I'm asking this: As HPE business partner, we are allowed to sell HPE Simplivity. But is that enough to do installations at our customer's sites on our own?

Hello Matthias,

Thank you for choosing HPE.

HPE business partners are allowed to sell HPE Simplivity, however, installation requires skilled engineers for planning and deployment of the SimpliVity nodes. Hence if you have certified SimpliVity engineers this can be done or you may also purchase the software installation SKU from HPE in which the HPE engineers can assist you with the installation. For more details, you may also connect with the Partner Product Manager.

Hi Matthias,

Also if you are referring only to the hardware installation and not the SimpliVity software deployment.

The hardware can also be self-deployed by the customer, however, the hardware installation requires the ILO configuration.

If the engineer/customer doing the same is aware can proceed.
