Hi,

Thank you for your input. It was the Java version. We downgraded from Java 8u291 versioning to 8u241 (both.64&x32). We then reinitialised the systems, and it worked correctly.

Kind regards

Andrew Rycroft

Hi

We are trying to deploy a 2 node Simpilivity cluster. The first node deploys successfully. When we try and deploy a 2nd node, it fails with an error:-

CZ211400V2:ERROR:Step 8 of 43:ERR_SYSTEM_CONFIG_FAILED: Unable to make required system configuration change. Unspecified error. See log for details.

From the Deployment manager log files, it displays “Config Build unknown error”.

The tests in the PreValidatino report all pass, but it does skip a few.

Any suggestinos as to what maybe causing this would be appreciated.

Kind regards

Andrew Rycroft

Hi Andrea,

you may need to log a support case however if you are comfortable you could try the below options.

Delete the RAID1 and recreate it, Factoryreset with full image.

Boot into the RAID config utility and locate the RAID controller for the primary storage array. The controller should be HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 and it will have 3 logical drive groups. Delete these 3 groups and redeploy. Deployment manager will recreate these Logical drives. Make sure you do not delete the Logical drives for the E208i controller

Also please ensure that you only have 1 version of Deployment Manager (DM) installed and that it is the required version. Make sure only one version of JAVA installed on the DM server and that it is version 1.8. Please ensure that the server Firmware is at the supported level on the Interoperability guide
