There is a question about locale setting.
We can select en_US or ja_JP as a locale with Deployment Manager.
What kind of effect does this setting have?

Our SimpliVity (OmniStack 3.7.6 / vSphere) nodes were set with "Locale: ja_JP" on a trial basis.
They seem to use EST for scheduling backup.
I have no idea about the purpose of locale setting.

Currently the two supported locale settings for vCenter/Esxi and the HPE SimpliVity Plugin are US English and Japanese

I asked a HPE engineer about this.
He said Locale doesn't mean time zone or location.
We should select ja_JP when users would like to operate SimpliVity nodes with Japanese characters.
