Hi kasakopei

This can also be called a “2+1” Federation, where we have two clusters, a 2-node in production and a 1-node in DR.
We can configure local backups in each cluster as well as remote backups to be sent to the other cluster for DR purposes. You can easily log in to the DR cluster and create VMs from the backups manually in event of a disaster, or you could use RapidDR to automate the recovery plan.
You should be able to contact a Storage SA in your area for assistance with designing a SimpliVity solution.

Hope this helps.!!

Regards
Mahesh.

We are looking at getting an HPE Simplivity (2 node) and utilizing their DR software with a 3rd node in a datacenter. Was just wondering if anyone has any experience with it.

They were one of the only places that did HCI with just 2 nodes. I know you can with vSAN and then use a witness node, but rather keep things simple.

Currently we are using Veeam for DR for just 5 VM's.
