Hi IschalM

Hope you are doing well.!!

Question 1. Can we move the DR site cluster to the DR site VC and leave the PROD site cluster on the PROD site VC
will this affect anything? backups?
The answer is No, you need to remove the DR node from the federation and remove the DR cluster from vcenter. Then recreate the dr cluster, vcenter, and deploy the DR node into the new vcenter.

Question 2. Can the prod VC that sits outside HCI also be moved onto the HCI does this have any impact or advisable?
The answer is You can move vcenter in the HCI cluster. It is a supported design.

Hope this helps.!!

Regards
Mahesh

Good Day,

I need some advice

Currently we have a 2 - 1 Deployment

1 Vcentre that sits outside the HCI and both PROD and DR are set up in this vcentre

1 Arbitor that sits outside the HCI

---PLAN---

We have now set up a new vcentre at the DR site in enhancled linked mode, uisng the primary site SSO domain

everything works fine, but as expected if the primary vcentre is down we can no longer manage the clusters PROD & DR from tthe DR site

Question

1 Can we move the DR site cluster to the DR site VC and leave the PROD site cluster on the PROD site VC

will this affect anything? backups?
I know we will need to reconnect the DR OVC the the DR VC again

2 Can the prod VC that sits outside HCI also be moved onto the HCI

does this have any impact or advisable

Thanks

Thank You very much, your response is very helpful.

Is there a Document that can be provided to assist us in completin this task.?
