Perhaps you are referring to File Level Restore? If that's the case, it won't work with encrypted partitions. To restore you have to restore the entire VM most likely and then get the files you need.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope it helps.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>SimpliVity Backups Unmountable partition</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Setting up a new Windows 2019 server and have a requirement to encrypt one of the disks.&amp;nbsp; I did a backup of the VM and noticed the VMDK for that encrypted drive is listed as unmountable.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can Simplivity not backup an encrypted drive or is there something you have to do to be able to restore files?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Is this something to do with Vmware Paravirtual controllers?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
