Hi Remus, I suggest you to familiarize with a supported MAD mechanism and deploy it on each Aruba 2930F based VSF by reading Aruba 2930F Management and Configuration Guide for ArubaOS-Switch 16.10 (there is an entire Chapter - Chapter 20 - dedicated to VSF).

hi aruba masters,

Newbie here

I am trying to design a collapsed core. Please see attached file.

1. Will i encounter any problems in this kind of deployment?

2. I am currently reviewing multiple active detection, will this have effect in my deployment?

Thanks

That design is OK.

If I were you (exactly because I don't know restrictions on your scenario) I would add two more uplinks from each Aruba 2930F VSF to the Aruba 3810M Stack in order to cover all possible interconnections/nodes failure permutstions (Links between each VSF Commander to both 1st Aruba 3810M and 2nd Aruba 3810M *and* between each VSF Standby to both 1st Aruba 3810M and 2nd Aruba 3810M...this will double your uplinks count but you will gain total resiliency against any node/link failure).

MAD: what is your deployment plan to implement MAD on each Aruba 2930F VSF?

First thank you for the fast response. I currently have no idea on how MAD works.. I am still currently studying it and its behavior.. Let me just post another one if i have questions..

Second thanks again for pointing out the point of failures in my design. I will consider first the port allocations for the access switch and the core switch before solving that

I am gonna mark this one as resolved for now.
