HPE Synergy changing iLO IP addresses

I have a question on the procedure for chaning the IP addresses assigned to iLOs from of a logical enclosure. The process is detailed in the user guide Change IP addresses of enclosure group and logical enclosure | HPE OneView 8.6 User Guide for HPE Synergy

This procedure includes the steps to create a new address pool and manually setting the composer IP addresses, but my question (on step #4) is why is it necessary to first edit the exclosutre group to use DHCP, update the logical enclosure with the new group configuration and then change the enclosure group again to use the new IP address pool and then update the logical enclosure again.

Why is DHCP necessary as part of this procedure??

I believe, it works if you directly configure the Static IP address without first activating the DHCP. Please try it, if any issue persist, let me know.

During the lifetime of many earlier HPE Synergy Software Releases it was found that some modules were not switching directly to the new IP addresses. So the "safer" process of essentially resetting them to DHCP and then setting a static address was documented. You should test your preferred process, as the other poster mention it may work. Sorry I can't be more definitive; as it depends on your from/to and module models, etc.
