I`m wondering if anyone in this forum has setup and configured one of these servers? If yes, please share how it`s setup. The frame has 20 x SAS SSD drive (3.2 TB each).</P><P>My goal is to have this host/server utilizing the local storage from the Synergy frame and it`s NVRAM for cahing for high performance and better reads/wright speeds.</P><P>My challenges:</P><P>1 - Is it wise to use JBOD for SQL?</P><P>2 - Any best practice I need to be aware of when configuring JBOD?</P><P>3 - Is it possible to use this JBOD as SAN?</P><P>4 - Is it wise to have these servers not clustered (Failover)? Apparently my SQL Admin confirmed that they must not be clustered since SQL Always On will be taking care of failover capabilities.</P><P>My Infrastructure consist of 3 frames and each frame has HP Synergy 480 Gen10 server.
