HPE Synergy 3820C Suse Linux HBA İssue

Hi all,

We have installed Suse Linux Enterpise 12 SP3 on one of our hosts physically, however it unable to find the HBA card, therefore we could not configure the SAN switch. We are pretty sure that the issue is on the OS, we tried to apply firmware and driver, still having an issue..

**When we install Esxi on the same host, SAN switch recognises HBA card.

Hello Sir,

Just checking if this post is still accurate for you or that it might have been resolved.
I'm currently evaluating our SLES12SP3 supportmatrix for the 3820C and or even see if I can do a quick test in my lab for you. Did you tested SLES12SP1 ? Just asking I did find a remark that we have a driver for that but I did not find a driver for the 3820C yet that explicitly calls out support for SP3; that is why I'm asking.

in addition: the Driver containing SLES12SP3 got updated in Februari 2018:

Maybe check if you have this driver installed; and if not upgrade:
netxtreme2-kmp-default-7.14.29_k4.4.73_5-2.sles12sp3.x86_64.rpm
