Is it just me, or is there an issue with these units?

My client has three 9550 on their network.

Wireless clients are a mix of Thinkpads and Dells ...

Enabling encryption (doesn't matter what kind) has a detrimental affect on the connections ... for some clients (such as this T42p I'm using now), it may or may not get an IP address from the DHCP server... disable encryption, and it'll become 100% reliable.

Needless to say, my client is happy about these units.

I don't think that they are prepared to run un-encrypted, but at the moment that's about all I can recommend to them ... does ANYONE have any suggestions as to how to improve the reliability? Hardcoding the IP address is not an option, since they can't ask visitors/guests to do it... They MUST be able to run encryption (as this point, even WEP would be better than nothing) and DHCP through these AccessPoints.

(Their old POS 802.11b accesspoint was more reliable!)

I have had nothing but trouble with mine. They seem to run for a period of time without issues, and then all of a sudden stop responding. Today, I reset one of the two and it came back up and started functioning correctly. Unfortunately the primary one rebooted and now pings, but when I try to login to the unit I get bad gateway 502 message. I can't keep having to hard reset these.

Skip
