Hello HP community,

I've got a question regarding the MSM 720 Wireless Controller...

We're using the controller for an internal wlan and guest wlan. The guest wlan is access controlled and users has to authenticate via html login. Everything is working perfect ... Now we'd wanted the captive portal also to be working for our weired guests ..

Can anybody tell me if we can use the html login function frmo the MSM controller also for weired users ?

Configuration guide page 252 has a table explaining this. Not supported. You can only use 802.1x or MAC-based authentication for wired users.

Hi,

just for information .. got it working!

Configured a vlan ingress mapping on the controller ... the wired access port has to be configured to access the guest vlan

The controller acts as DHCP Server in that segment
