I have a Procurve MSM710 access controller. I have setup a public access VSC with HTML based authentication. This works fine when the client is using Internet Explorer. However if the user has an iphone or ipad the login is not successful. It seems that the browser these devices run is not compatible. The default browser appears to be Safari.

Has anyone got any experience with this combination? Have you made it work or do I need to give up?

P.S This thread has been moved from Communications, Wireless (Legacy ITRC forum) to MSM Series. - Hp Forum Moderator

Hi Timewaster :)

That's a known issue. Check the 5.4.1 Release Notes:

http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02641334/c02641334.pdf

Look for 52265 and you find a workaround. The root cause is the Apple device, so to have a solution you will need to keep bugging them.

HTH
Arimo
