topic GMS with two controllers in M and MSM Series

I have a situation where i am running the Guest Management System with one MSM765zl controller for the last few years. Now i am adding a new MSM720 controller in the deployment. I want to be able to use the same GMS database to update both controllers with the same guest accounts. Is this even possible?

No.

It may make sense for one of the controllers to just do guest (not manage any APs). You egress to a VLAN, and have guest access ingress to the guest controller via VLAN rather than SSID. Check the max concurrent users supported (think it is 250 for the MSM720 and 2000 for the MSM765/775.
