They will show up under "configured" as "No"

They are connected to different HPE switches (with PoE).

It is not every AP's on one switch that goes offline. Some stay online.

Controller logs "AP (name='APxx') is silent, it may still be providing services but is unmanaged. Reason: (value='Secure connection to AP went down')."

What can be the reason for this?

Bad hardware/software?

Regards, Lars.

Hi Lars,

What is your system configuration ie how many controllers and APs, and which AP models?

Do you use vlans to separate wifi and ethernet traffic?

Is there a pattern to the APs loosing connection ie same time every day etc.

Thanks,

Craig.

Hi... Thanks for replying

One controller and 39 access points.

One VLAN for Wifi (which is also used for wired ethernet) and another VLAN for controller traffic.

Access points are:

HP 560
HP 425
MSM430

One HP 425 drops out often, the others do not follow a specific pattern.

Regards, Lars.

Are your AP's configured with dhcp or static ip addresses?

I have seen what you describe happen with duplicate ip addresses.
