Hello experts

Need some help with XP Performance advisor. The "all array" canned report from PA has a graph (graph 7) that reports on minimum and maximum port iops. On our 20k, it is showing nearly consistent iops (90-120k) for 24 hours period for max/min io operations graph 7, however graph 1 for total io rate is around 20-40k .. The graph 1 looks like an average over 1 minute but graph 7 is maxium/minimum. Can someone explain the defination of metrics used for graphing?

in user guide, the max & min iops refers to total nos of read & write i/o opertions per second over the entire collection period. What is the defination of operation here? is it front end iop or front end iop translated in multiple operations to backend?

THanks.

P.S. this thread has been moved from general to Storage Area Networks (SAN) (Enterprise). - HP forum moderator
