請問 ESL 712e command view TL 中有一個 SNMP Trap Destination 是什麼意思, 該怎麼設定?

you can integrate the SNMP trap to the OVO or HP Insight Manager CMS for monitor the backup status.

Hello Eric,



SNMP Trap Destination :

It set the IP address of manage station. Once Tape library got either critical or warning events, it will sent the event to manage station. It is same SNMP behaviour as network device. manage station could be Openview, Insight manager and others that receive trap and display the event. Manage station need ESL712e MIB file and to compile to understand the events from ESL712e.



Without Snmp setting, tape event messages may display in its OCP, event log from OCP Menu or Command view TL.

Now, we have a HP insight manager CMS. Not only the trap destination needs to setup but also "Community String". I don't understand it. How to define it?

一般是設成 public，就如同在安裝MRTG過程會碰到的snmp community string是一樣的.
