HP-UX rx2620 畫面無法在 VGA

一台 rx2620 , 後面 VGA port 連接銀幕, 滑鼠鍵盤, 但是開機後, 卻顯示至一半出現 Console is serial device, 無法繼續顯示下去, telnet 進去後已經開機完成, 到 開機前端的設定畫面 console configuration 中 , 選擇 VGA 為 Primary , 一樣顯示至 Console is serial device 就不再顯示, 有誰能解

首先要確認 console output input和error output是否都選擇VGA為Primary

另外不知道你使用什麽樣的螢幕，是KVM嗎還是普通的螢幕加滑鼠和鍵盤。

可以嘗試只保留VGA console ,其他的disable掉

KVM 及 普通的螢幕加滑鼠都產生一樣的message --> "console is serial device" , 普通的螢幕加滑鼠 還都是 HP原廠, 讓我不知如何是好, 我先申明-我只在 cosole configuration 設定 VGA 為Primary , 其餘兩項 "Serial....." 設為 Secondary , 你陳述的 console output 和 error output 是指哪裏, 這個我不知, 也不會設定, 如果需要, 請敎我, 謝謝!!!

我想，不管是KVM還是普通的螢幕加滑鼠，只要你看到 "console is serial device" ，那麽儅系統的啓動步驟進入kernel loading時，你就不會在銀幕上看到任何的輸出，此時如果你還有連接serial console,那麽你還可在他的上面看到loading kernel之後的啓動過程。

所以關鍵是要check console configuration.

其實，有3种console可用。

1。Console Port on the System-Board

2。Console Port of the MP

3。VGA



The console-ports are configured from the Boot-Option-Maintenance-Menue.

You have to configure the Console Input, Console Output and Console Error port.

You can enable more than one port in parallel.

另外你所說的3種 console ,

第3種VGA是主機的ㄧ般VGA15pin母藍色

第2種MP是主機後面的MP面板可使用IP Address,或 Null Modem 連接 NoteBook 9pin Console Port

第1種System-Board 這個我不了解.



實作環境是ㄧ台用 telnet 連進 MP IP Address , 然後 co 進入系統層觀看開機狀況, 另外在主機連接一般銀幕或 KVM , 造成 Console is Serail Device, 至於組態只在開機時的 console configuration 設定 P, S, NC, console input, console output, console error port 不知如何調整

這種狀況會出現在rx2620上面

如果使用vga ,you need unmark all others output device

我有試過rx46,就沒有這種限制

可以同時有多個output

正如Joey所訴，VGA console和Serial console只能選擇其一，所以如果你要用到VGA console把其他的disable就好了，這樣的話你的telnet也不能用了。
