2 Port 10G iSCSI/FCoE CNA card - mislabel

The latest HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8000 Storage Self-install guide has an update regarding a labeling issue with the 2 port 10G iSCSI/FCoE CNA card for the HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8000 array.

The current card H6Z10A “HP 3PAR StoreServ 8000 2-port 10Gb iSCSI/FCoE Adapter” has the Port numbering (1 & 2) swapped. So the port labeled PORT 1 is really PORT 2 and vice versa.

For more details, please see the latest “HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8000 Storage Self-install guide” at

  http://www.hpe.com/support/3PAR8000CSI

and the Troubleshooting section concerning “Incorrect labeling on 2-port 10Gb iSCSI/FCoE CNA card”.

Thanks.

Re: 2 Port 10G iSCSI/FCoE CNA card - mislabel

UPDATE

Some shipments from the factory may now have the updated label for the 2 port 10G iSCSI/FCoE CNA card.

However, this is not the case worldwide.

As such, please continue to use the visual inspection mechanism described in the documentation and the original forum article.

When we have further confirmation of full factory shipments and any serial numbers, we will forward on to you.
