3PAR 7400 DRIVE ISSUES " INVALID BLOCK SIZE "
How can we reformat these drives?
Invalid_Block_Size, vacated. When I run showpd , it shows the failed disks without PD numbers, so they are not even being assigned.

Re: 3PAR 7400 DRIVE ISSUES "INVALID BLOCK SIZE"
Where did you get these disks? For the 7XXX series, the blocksize must be 520 to enable DIF.
What does this show?
showpd -showcols Id,CagePos,Node_WWN,Type,FmtBlkSize,Model,FW_Rev,FW_status
Most likely you'll need to talk to Support.

Yes block size not 520. Is there any way to change it?

What OS version are you on? Where did you get these drives?
You'll need to ask Support to see if they can change them.

Re: 3PAR 7400 DRIVE ISSUES "INVALID BLOCK SIZE"
F-series and T-series used drives with a formatted block side of 512. 7000 and 10000 use drives with a formatted block side of 520.
Support only might be able to do something.
