3PAR V400: What does this mean? total_svctms > 30

We got this message last night:

I assume this is from the Service Reporter?

It probably means that the total_svctms was greater than 30.0, 30 times.

Re: 3PAR V400: What does this mean? total_svctms > 30

thanks.  we figured out that much.  The next question is why?

We can track the utilization on the V400 through system reporter performance reports.  It looks when we have high activity on the array, such as a backup being performed, or AO moving stuff around at night, that we get these messages.  Our assumption is that when the array gets "stressed", he just can't keep up.

Have you had this kind of problem?  Has anybody else out there had these?

As you said, the system was busy?

Very possibly.  Or maybe the threshold (30) is too low?

Hi StuartA46,

We're seeing similar alerts on our array. Were you able to find out what exactly was causing this and if so, what steps did you take for remedying this?
