I have a 3par system that has virtual volumes exported to my old IBM blade center host (6) as iscsi. I recently bought a new HP blade center. I also added flat san FC connections from the same 3par to the new Blade Center. I need to migrate the compute from the old server to the new one. I have all that covered in VMWare.
The Question I have is since VMWare is considered clusted and I have the new host in the same Vcenter server but a diffrent cluster can I export those same volumes that are iscsi to the new cluster as FC without cuasing a issue.
Your time is appricated.
Thank you.

SolutionHi
if you want to use your existing datastore if all hosts are in
the same cluster you can add hte new hosts to the existing vlun
if it is a new cluster you can just export it as is to the new cluster but you will
have to register the VMware guests.
or you can create a new datastore and use storage vmotion to
migrate your guests from cluster to cluster.
Regards
give a KUDO if this helps
