3par and 3830 gateway
Hello,
We are looking at the 3par 7200 san and the storeasy 3830 gateway to build out a NAS system. Has anyone implemented this yet? Our main concern is with the gateway and it's support for LDAP directory authentication. I only see Active directory on the spec sheet, and so I wonder if Server 2012 can even authenticate to an LDAP directory, like many of the other NAS systems?
Thanks,
Dan.

Re: 3par and 3830 gateway
Hi Dan,
it may be possible to integrate an Active Directory domain with an external LDAP realm in Windows Server 2012 (I haven't tried that though) but it's not as straightforward as configuring a PAM module on a linux box because any authentication is bound to Active Directory.
Hope this helps a bit,
Linar
