What is the State of: showrctransport -rcfc

Is it "Ready"?

Re: Create Remote Copy Group, error: Target STOR1 could not get info on secondary target.

Hi,

I have Remote Copy via IP ports.

3PARSTOR1 cli% showrctransport -rcip
N:S:P State HwAddr IPAddress PeerIPAddress Netmask Gateway MTU Rate Duplex
0:3:1 ready 941882442D99 192.168.254.11 192.168.255.11 255.255.255.0 192.168.254.1 1500 1Gbps Full
1:3:1 ready 941882442C1D 192.168.254.12 192.168.255.12 255.255.255.0 192.168.254.1 1500 1Gbps Full
3PARSTOR1 cli%

3PARSTOR2 cli% showrctransport -rcip
N:S:P State HwAddr IPAddress PeerIPAddress Netmask Gateway MTU Rate Duplex
0:3:1 ready 941882442FED 192.168.255.11 192.168.254.11 255.255.255.0 192.168.255.1 1500 1Gbps Full
1:3:1 ready 941882442D0D 192.168.255.12 192.168.254.12 255.255.255.0 192.168.255.1 1500 1Gbps Full
3PARSTOR2 cli%

When use "create configuration wizard" links and targets are created but RemoteCopy Group - no. Then I try to create manual RC Group - the result is same.

With either management GUI (IMC or SSMC), the GUI has to be connected to both systems.

I use management console and see both storages.

Do you have other idea? Management interfaces need to see each other? is it obligatory?

No, the Management interfaces do not need to see each other. In what subnets are the Management interfaces?

Hi,

Each storage in separate VLAN with mask /24.

That's not the question. The RCIP ports for 3PARSTOR1 are in the 192.168.254 subnet. The ports for 3PARSTOR2 are in the 192.168.255 subnet.
In what subnet is the 3PARSTOR1 management IP? In what subnet is the 3PARSTOR2 management IP?

Re: Create Remote Copy Group, error: Target STOR1 could not get info on secondary target.

Hi,
Stor1 in 1st DataCenter: mgmt vlan 192.168.0.0/24 rc vlan 192.168.254.0/24

Stor2 in 2nd DataCenter: mgmt vlan 192.168.2.0/24 rc vlan 192.168.255.0/24

Exist any limitations?
Thanks in advance

Re: Create Remote Copy Group, error: Target STOR1 could not get info on secondary target.

The only limitation is that a system's management subnet and RCIP subnet be different which yours are.

Sorry, I don't see the problem just chatting in the Community. You should contact HPE Support.
