HP 3PAR 7400 disk license error
hi there
we have one HP 3par 7400 which includes almost 200 disks installed.
it is about three years that we are using the storage, but recently, we decided to increase its capacity.
when we added new disks, we found out we were unable to admit them because of insufficient disk license.
it was weird but we found out it was working with only 8 disk licenses, however all 200 disks were working properly.
I refer to my licenses. it was 110+24+24+10 disk licenses, which overally give us 168 disk licenses.
when I decided to add those licenses, we get an error message stats that:
THE LICENSE KEY IS FOR FEWER DISKS THAN ARE PRESENTLY IN THE SYSTEM.
no the question is what can we do?
I also attached the error message to this discussion.
the storage is heavily under production and cannot be intrupted at all.
is it possible to merge all disk licenses to acheive one 168 disk license?
please help me in my case as it is very emergency.
regards.

No, licenses on HPE 3PAR are replacement only. While legally they can be "merged" but on the array there is only the one license. You need to talk to the licensing team to get this "combined" license.
