HP 3Par 8450 Remote copy - Excessive retransmits on RCFC port

Remote copy between HP3Par-8450 and HP3Par-8450 on fiber channel fabric. The HP3Par both are version 3.2.2.290

Message is :

Message,FIXED: Excessive RCFC retransmits at 0.0% on node 0.

Message,FIXED: Excessive RCFC retransmits at 0.2% on node 1.

and 

(Major)RCLINK1(HP-3PAR8450-HQ_0_2_1) COMP_STATE failed. Remote Copy Link Do

check the SFP on the port to see if any defects and replace it.

If you need to review any status for RC you can run a couple commands as well, showrcopy –d and check the output of showport –rc as well.

showport –rc should give you a good idea about the status of your ports and whether they are ready or offline. 

showrcopy –d will give you the entire RC configuration and in the first section you would have the status for your target array and in the lower sections you should have data on the status of your groups and their status.

This is just so you have more information on your current status and can help your troubleshooting process.

It's enabled by default.
