Insert New Disk to 3par
Hi I am using a HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7200 with 16 disk and 8 empty hdd bays. So I am going to add 4 new disk. I inserted new disks and did every single step right, but somehow it says “degraded” in status for a while and then “Failed”. What can I do? Thanks a lot, and sorry for bad english.

Re: Insert new disk to HPE 3PAR: There is no current firmware listed
What does "showpd -s" show for those failed/degraded disks?
What HPE 3PAR OS are you using?

Re: Insert new disk to HPE 3PAR: There is no current firmware listed
Your error says there is "There is no current firmware listed" when it tried to do an upgradepd.
What is the model of those disks? showpd -i -w that-WWN
Do you have some patches you need to install to use those disks?

Looks like you need 3.2.1 MU5 or possibly an earlier patch.

You'll need to talk to HPE Support. And find out why you got disks you can't use without a patch.
