NL raw allocation space usage above 95%

Hi,

Today I got a critical alert mentioning that CPG growth failure.

I've removed a LUN that was keeping near 1TB, how can I force a the system task remove_expired_vvs to run imediately?

Best Regards,

Pedro Vicente

Since it runs every hour, it has been done by now.

But you can use: removevv -f -expired

Re: NL raw allocation space usage above 95%

Thanks,

I waited and indeed it works with a schedule of hour to hour.

But I still have the CPG full, I'm running a compact cpg right now.

What else can I do to reclaim space? I've removed a 1TB VV presented to a server, waited for the task to remove expired VV and now I'm doing a compact CPG.

Is this the correct procedure?

Best Regards

Vic

Was it really using all of that 1 TB?

Looks about right.

Assuming you have all the "thin' licenses, and the volumes themselves were created thin, look at the white paper on the HP 3PAR Thin Technologies. Search for the paper ID, "4AA3-8987ENW".

You may be able to reclaim space from within existing volumes' file systems at the OS level.
