SAN disk no responding around one minute

Hi All,

I have present SAN disk to WIndows 2008 R2 SP1 and create 10Gb or 30Gb file, when right click file and Windows explorer waiting very long (around one minute) display right click menu, anyone have experience about this?

What model SAN do you have?  How is it connected to your server?

3PAR 7400 FC 8G with Windows 2008R2 SP1 Ent. MPIO

Are you using thin provisioning ? If so please use thick provisioning and post the results. In most cases thin provisioning slows down the initial disk reading...
