Setup Alerts in SSMC for a failed disk

Is there a way to send an email alert when an actual drive failed? Looking at Treshold alerts you can select

physical disk but there is no criteria related to a component status change orso.

any thoughts on this?

Not sure if you can do this in SSMC, but you can do this within the SP.

The SP sending E-Mails on all Hardware Failures by default.

No need for confugure in SSMC.
