The Specified Storage System is currently in the initiation process.

Hi

I'm Setting up a HP 3PAR 7400,

I first set SP (Physical one) up, but when I was in the middle of setting up the storage system ( I guess it was in the middle of Setup system volume process), my network connectivity went down, and the whole system got reboot.

After that, whenever I try to set the storage system again, I face the following error, however I'm sure no one else from some where else is in initial process of this system.

Error

The specified system is currently in the storage system initialization process. Only one initialization process can run at one time.

Could anybody help in this regard?

Re: The Specified Storage System is currently in the initiation process.

Hi

you should Connect with serial cable supplied to node 0

login as console and run "Out Of The Box Procedure" option number 1

you will Probaply get an error so run option 8 "Perform a deinstallation"

and then run "Out Of The Box Procedure" again.

Regards

Re: The Specified Storage System is currently in the initiation process.

Hi

the cables are supplied with the 3PAR

A DB9 female to RJ45 Adapter  should already be inserted into the serial port with a standard ( blue) ethernet cable

180-0055 RJ-45/DB9 connects to console port of controller if this dosn't work try the other adapter 180-0059

use

connection 57600 8 bits no parity
