release space when i remove files in the FS - HP-UX
Hi Guys,
I have a server HP-UX 11.31, on storage HP 3PAR 10000
i remove files in the File system, but in the storage, don´t released space, how procedure to release space for use other areas.

It doesn't tell you details on how to do it, but you can create a zerofile using dd and then remove that file to free up space. However, you shouldn't fill up the fs with the zerofile so you might have to script out something that would check the free space and create a zerofile that fills up maybe 80% of the fs then delete the zerofile. Just be careful when you issue dd and rm, you won't want to dd or rm and existing file in HP-UX....
