repalce a failed disk

I have a disk in the 3par 8200 appeared from the cli as failed but from SSMC 3.6 it is normal !!

How to ensure if a disk is failed , how to move the disk safely and replace with the new one (I already recieved the new one from HPE)?

what commands need to be run to:

  • Ensure disk faild.
  • Ensure No chunklets is still exist in the disk befor replacment.
  • make the new disk available to be used by storage array 3par 8200

Thanks

Re: repalce a failed disk

Before replace:

showpd - failed - degraded
servicemag status -d

Hope this helps!
