Hi Guys.
After doing work on PD rolls, some of them have Paths problems.
3PAR 3.2.2 with All Patches.
3 Disk Cages.
72 PD FC (1.2TB x 48 & 900GB x 24) so I have 24 PD per Chassis.
After run checkhealth -detail pd
Checking pd
Component ----Summary Description----- Qty
PD Unbalanced PD types in Cages 2
------------------------------------------
1 total 2
Component -Identifier- ------------------------Detailed Description------------------------
PD Cage:2 PDs FC/10K/1200GB unbalanced. Primary path: 7 on Node:0, 9 on Node:1
PD Cage:2 PDs FC/10K/900GB unbalanced. Primary path: 5 on Node:0, 3 on Node:1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 total
after run showpd -path.
As you can see the problem is with the PDs IDs 10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,24,26,27,28.29,30,31.

I need some solution that does not include "dismiss PD".
Thank you very much for any help you can give me.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion about 10...31 being bad? The message says cage2.
You only have to move one PD from node1 to node0 (1200G). And one from node0 to node1 (900G).
So you have to interchange two drives in cage2.
What does this show?
showpd -p -cg 2
> I need some solution that does not include "dismiss PD".
You might be able to do servicemag on the two PD locations, swap, then resume.

SolutionHmm, something seems wrong with a couple of positions:
09 2:06:0 FC 10 normal 838656 359424 1:0:1 0:0:1* 900
08 2:07:0 FC 10 normal 838656 396288 1:0:1 0:0:1* 900
70 2:22:0 FC 10 normal 1142784 668672 1:0:1* 0:0:1 1200
24 2:23:0 FC 10 degraded 1142784 0 1:0:1* 0:0:1 1200
I thought every other position would be on a different active port.
So there doesn't seem like there is anything you can do, except for possibly restarting sysgmr.

Re: 3PAR 7200 PD Path Issues
Dear Dennis.
You are right.
When I run showpd -p -cg 2 -sortcol 1 I see the real problem in both Cages (0 & 2).
The problem existed in two pairs of PD. IDs 8-9 in Cage 2 and IDs 50-54 in Cage 0 (see File).
So on PDs I used this procedure. Now the checkhealth -svc -detail is clean
